Bonner speaks - al.com: "FOLEY — South Alabama is in a good position to recover from difficult economic times, but the region and country still face challenges in the near future, U.S. Rep. Jo Bonner, R-Mobile, said Thursday.

Addressing a quarterly lunch meeting of the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce in Foley, Bonner said that projects such as the Thyssen-Krupp steel mill in Mount Vernon and port improvements in Mobile will be a major benefit for the region.

'If you had to pick any place in the world to live, to weather the storm and to look forward to a brighter future, you're in the right place and you're betting in the right spot,' Bonner said. 'As we come out of the economic downturn that we've been in, this is the place that I believe we have every reason to be confident in the future.'"
