Foley amends sick leave plan for flu - al.com: "FOLEY — Municipal employees who run out of sick leave during the flu season will be able to borrow days from future allotments under a policy approved by the City Council.

Council members voted Monday night to approve a temporary amendment to the city personnel policy to allow workers more sick leave during a possible outbreak of H1N1 or other forms of influenza.

'The intent here is to encourage employees to stay home if they have the flu, not to spread the wealth so to speak,' Mayor John Koniar said."
