County and town thankful for award - al.com: "BAY MINETTE — Brett Gaar, a lifelong resident of Magnolia Springs, recalls spending a lot of time in the cold waters of The Springs while growing up.

'I was there almost daily in the summer as a kid,' he said. 'It was a natural municipal pool.'

The town of Magnolia Springs and the Baldwin County Commission have received a first-place finish in the multi-national 'Gulf Guardian Award' contest for restoring the deteriorated waterway, which runs into the Magnolia River."
