Rec center, golf course rates may rise - al.com: "ORANGE BEACH — For the second straight winter, city officials are revamping the rates for the municipal recreation and golf centers.

With tax and development-related income slumping, Orange Beach leaders have spent the last year looking for ways to decrease spending and increase revenue. Last January the council created a new rate structure at the recreation center for nonresidents, generally lowering fees to lure more users, and left the annual admission for residents unchanged at $20.
