County leery of stimulus funds strings - al.com: "BAY MINETTE — Baldwin County commissioners have yet to receive any of more than $1.7 million in federal stimulus funds and, based on strongly worded advice from their attorney, aren't sure the money is worth the staff member hours or legal liability involved.

'It's going to take a whole lot more work for us to do this,' Commission Chairman Skip Gruber said at last week's work session.

'That's an understatement,' said County Attorney Scott Barnett, adding later, 'Unless it is taken care of with kid gloves, there will be a mistake."
