Slight rise in revenue predicted for 2010 - al.com: "GULF SHORES — Municipal financial planners anticipate a modest increase in revenue in 2010 that should enable the city to put away nearly $1.1 million in reserve, according to a preliminary budget proposal.

For the past year, city officials have trimmed expenses — including cutting 29 jobs — in the face of declining tax revenue and a sharp drop in development-related income. The 2010 budget proposal shows that the belt-tightening will continue despite the expectation of slightly higher income."
