Foundations discuss county education - al.com: "ROBERTSDALE — Education foundation members from around Baldwin met Wednesday to discuss countywide efforts to improve education and deal with issues such as school funding.

Seven community foundations now work to raise money for local schools. On Wednesday, members of those organizations spent much of the day at the PZK Hall in Robertsdale discussing how they could work together to improve education across the county.

Terry Burkle, director of the South Baldwin Education Foundation, said the groups have more influence when they act together."
