BALDWIN SCHOOLS TAX POLL - al.com: "The Alabama Education Association commissioned the Capital Survey Research Center of Montgomery to poll 503 Baldwin County registered voters Oct. 12-13.
The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percent, said Gerald W. Johnson, director of the center.
Following are some excerpts:
"If the choice you have is to further cut the budget for local public schools or to increase taxes for schools, which would you support?"
Cut public school budgets — 32.2 percent
Increase taxes for schools — 56.5 percent
Don't know/No reply — 11.3 percent"
