A perfect homecoming | pnj.com | Pensacola News Journal: "The Blue Angels began their final air show of 2009 under pristine blue skies, allowing thousands of screaming fans to soak up the sun along with the roar of afterburners.

The crowd at Pensacola Naval Air Station was sparse Friday when the first civilian performances began at 10 a.m., but it grew steadily as the day wore on.

By noon, the early birds had claimed all the best spots with folding lawn chairs and unfurled blankets. And by the time the Blue Angels started their performance at 2 p.m., the crowd was shoulder-to-shoulder and 50 deep against the crowd barrier."
