New animal shelter needs funding plan - al.com: "BAY MINETTE — Baldwin County commissioners continue to work toward a bigger and better animal shelter, but were reminded Tuesday they still need to finalize a plan to pay for it.
An architect updated commissioners at their work session on designs for the nearly $4 million facility, which would be built in phases near the Magnolia Landfill in Summerdale.
About $50,000 a year would come from the state Health Department, which operates the shelter, and most of the rest from unused county bond money."
