Alabama, Mississippi joining forces to boost region's aeronautics industry - al.com: "BAY MINETTE — The governors of Alabama and Mississippi will rally public and private support here Monday for turning a four-state Gulf of Mexico region into an Aerospace Alliance.

Alabama's Bob Riley will be at Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette, joined by Mississippi's Haley Barbour via satellite. They will launch the 501(c)(6) organization designed to create a world-class aerospace, space and aviation corridor from Panama City, Fla., to Louisiana.

It will allow business, economic development, government and civic leaders to combine resources, funds and manpower for lobbying efforts, according to organizers."
