'Foley girl' makes church, service to others, her life - al.com: "A self-described Foley girl, Zola Knight has lived her entire life in south Baldwin, and these days, she devotes her life to service in her community and in her small church in Robertsdale. But her early life was very different.

'The area has changed so much. I grew up digging potatoes, picking peas and pulling tomatoes,' Knight said. 'When I was growing up, I wanted to go into the Air Force. I was a tomboy.'

She didn't enter the service, however; she got married soon after graduating from Foley High School and had two children, working in the bakery at Delchamps until a near-death experience changed her life."
