Graham Creek preserve ready to open - al.com: "FOLEY — With work on the gates, gravel drive and canoe launch complete, the Graham Creek Nature Preserve is ready to be opened to the public, city officials said.

Foley officials and Riviera Utilities bought the 484-acre site in 2004. The city had not set an opening date for the facility as of Friday, according to officials.

When open, the facility will provide visitors with a chance to see rare species of plants, said Fred Nation, a horticulturist who took part in a survey of the site earlier this year and in 2008."
