Improvements planned by start of holidays - al.com: "FOLEY — Though hard economic times put a proposed $6.5 million downtown renovation project on indefinite hold, municipal officials plan to have new trees and lights in place near the center of the city in time to greet holiday shoppers.
The Foley City Council voted Monday night to spend $50,000 for improvements around the intersection of Ala. 59 and
U.S. 98. The work will include planting trees along the highways and improving lighting."
