HK Motors seeks letter of intent from Baldwin County - al.com: "BAY MINETTE — Hybrid Kinetic Motors will seek written support from Baldwin County commissioners Tuesday for the Chinese company's plans to use a local manufacturing megasite for an ambitious move into the hybrid automobile industry.

The commission is set to vote on a letter expressing its intent to allow HK Motors to use the 3,000 acres northeast of Bay Minette for a plant estimated to produce 5,800 local jobs at full production.

HK Motors executives also are scheduled to make a presentation at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. County officials said company Chairman Benjamin Yeung is not expected to attend."
