Deal for utility's building hits snag - al.com: "GULF SHORES — Though both sides say negotiations are ongoing in the city's efforts to buy Baldwin EMC's vacant West First Street facility, Mayor Robert Craft warned that officials should be prepared to think about other places for a new fire station.

Craft said last week that while he was hopeful a purchase could be arranged, there are several 'hang-ups' that could derail the deal. Price is not an issue, the mayor said. But there are other contingencies, which he declined to discuss, of the sale that remain unresolved.

'We are still negotiating with the city and that's about all I can say at this point,' said Karen Moore, a Baldwin EMC spokeswoman."
