Orange Beach mayor proposes annual fees for beach property owners | Breaking News from the Press-Register - al.com: "ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- Municipal officials this afternoon outlined their proposal for an annual fee assessed to owners of property along the beach and the north side of Ala. 182 that would be used to clean, maintain and periodically rebuild the city's shoreline.

Though he said the numbers weren't set in stone, Mayor Tony Kennon said City Hall is considering a $300 annual fee for Gulf-front property owners and $75 for those on north side of the beach highway in hopes of collecting about $1.5 million a year to keep up the beach."
