Baldwin County Bicentennial Park will be presenting a night of spooky Halloween fun for your whole family. This event is set for Friday and Saturday nights, October 23 and 24 (the weekend before Halloween). The Park will open at 5 PM each evening with the hay rides from 6 to 9 PM. Admission to the Park for this Bicentennial Event is $5 per person and includes a Haunted Hay Ride, ghost Storie telling, musical entertainment, refreshments and parking (children under 3 are free). Entry paid at the Park gate.
Although much of the 367 acre Park is still under construction, the newly completed Picnic Pavilion with its lights and concrete floor will be the gathering point for the event. While you wait for your Haunted Hay Ride to begin, you will be entertained in Halloween splendor with live music and spine chilling ghost stories.
Come in costume if you like and join the other ghosts, goblins and scary sprites that will be wondering about. Listen to the Story Teller on board your hay ride as it will be a ride to remember... or maybe one to forget as you ride through the night of a new moon with ghoulish music and who knows what lurking in the darkness around you.
You may elect to avoid the Hay Ride in the gloomy dark and just listen to ghost stories or music while staying near the bonfire at the Pavilion and toasting marshmallows. Many of the spooky tales you will hear are based on legendary stories from right here in Baldwin County... if your mind can take them.
Should you arrive at the Park after dark, be assured that the entrance will be well lighted and the ghouls will be there to help you park.
