Grouper fishing rules set to get tighter | pnj.com | Pensacola News Journal: "Many local fishermen and seafood industry insiders are crying foul over new federal regulations that will transform the way commercial fishermen catch grouper in the Gulf of Mexico.

The regulations, which were enacted by the National Marine Fisheries Service on Aug. 31, aim to eliminate the traditional race for fish that followed commercial season's opening. Instead, they will assign individual fishing quotas to commercial grouper fishermen starting in 2010."
