Baldwin officials vow cooperation with hybrid car plant developers - al.com: "BAY MINETTE — Baldwin County commissioners quickly approved a document Tuesday expressing their intent to cooperate with Hybrid Kinetic Motors in its plans for a massive automotive factory near Bay Minette.
The non-binding 'letter of intent' passed unanimously and with little discussion is designed to help the company round up $1.5 billion in initial financing, mainly through an immigrant investment program.
'Baldwin County expects to convey to (HK Motors) certain property that is commonly known as the megasite property,' the letter states, adding that the 3,000-acre tract will be part of, or used in conjunction with, an incentive package that will benefit the company in addition to 'the citizens of the state of Alabama and particularly the citizens of Baldwin County.'"
