Sticking with the blueprint - al.com: "POINT CLEAR — Hugh McCoy, the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce's new chairman, said that over the next year, his goal will be to 'continue to think regionally' by connecting business leaders, elected officials and citizens to achieve common goals.
Legislators at the national and state level 'have told me that if you come together as one voice, the likelihood of getting what you want is greatly increased,' McCoy said in brief remarks Thursday evening at the chamber's 85th annual Membership Meeting held at the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort Golf Club & Spa.
McCoy will move the chamber's 'Blueprint for Tomorrow' effort toward its end. The program began in 2005 with the goal of making the area 'the residential, retail and corporate center of southwest Alabama' by 2010, according to the program's mission statement."
