Lauren Barksdale Hill Artist's Reception @ OBAC

The Orange Beach Art Center and Friends of the Arts Visiting Artist, Lauren Barksdale Hill, received a warm welcome from residents and visitors of Orange Beach. The Artist's Reception was Friday 17th and among those attending were Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon, City Councilman Ed Carroll and his wife Merle, visitors from Louisiana, Mobile and Birmingham as well as local Friends of the Arts and artists.

A real sense of community has developed around the Artist's Receptions. Each artist that has exhibited in the Visiting Artist Series has commented on how welcomed they feel which is due entirely to the wonderful support the community has shown these artists and the Art Center.

This exhibit will run through August 29th. Lauren's work has great appeal and is particularly suited for our area in theme and palette.
