MISSING - al.com: "Sure, they caught an 298-pound shark this weekend to win the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo.

But 25 years ago a shark that size wouldn't even have made the leader board.

In 2006, a 326-pound bull shark described in a Press-Register headline as 'massive' won the rodeo. Compare that with the winning shark in 1986, just 20 years earlier, a tiger that weighed in at 805 pounds. The 1981 winner bottomed out the rodeo scale at 850 pounds, according to a Press-Register story from that time, and may have actually weighed even more."
