Woodstock getting the weight off: "The city of Woodstock has lost an employee – without laying anyone off.

Over the course of the past eight weeks, 21 Woodstock employees have lost a total of 246 pounds, the weight of a good-sized grown man, under the city’s new wellness program.

The program was introduced by Preston Pooser, the city’s new parks and recreation director, and City Manager Jeff Moon. Pooser and Moon participated in a similar program in Orange Beach, Ala., where the two men worked before coming to Woodstock."
