Sunny 105.7 FM - Local News: "Site Selection magazine has ranked Baldwin County as the 2nd most successful Micropolitan area in the United States for the expansion and/or new location of corporate entities in 2008, according to its March, online edition.

Micropolitan areas are counties with population of over 50,000 but no one city larger than 50,000. There are almost 600 Micropolitan areas containing almost 700 counties per the US Census Bureau, and those areas are named after their largest communities. The official census name for the Baldwin County Micro is the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley Micropolitan area but statistics represent the entire county, not just these three cities."
