Gulf Shores approves zoning change for hotel, conference center project - al.com: "GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Zoning for a 250-room hotel and a 40,000-square-foot conference center at Homeport Marina won approval Monday from the City Council, which also agreed to let the developers relocate a road to accommodate the designs.

First proposed in May, designs also call for three new restaurants of varying sizes, a trio of retail buildings, a 500-space parking deck and a ferry terminal on the Intracoastal Waterway. Lulu's, the 450-seat restaurant that occupies a corner of the property, would get a new bar and stage area."
