Outdoor enthusiast and lecturer, Bob Buckley will introduce geocaching -- one of the world’s fastest growing sports/hobbies on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at 6:00 pm at the Orange Beach Public Library.
Geocaching is an outdoor activity in which the participant uses a hand-held Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to hide and seek containers hidden throughout the world. Currently, there are over 950,000 active geocaches waiting to be found. Bob is a dedicated traveler and long distance walker having solo trekked across England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland –geocaching along the way. He has introduced hundreds of people to geocaching through public presentations in and near Marion, Iowa.
