Storm survey set to begin - al.com

Storm survey set to begin - al.com: "If you think you might need a ride out of town the next time a hurricane is barreling toward coastal Alabama, or could require special assistance evacuating, state emergency management officials want to know.

But you don't have to call them, they'll ring you. Starting Monday, many residents in Mobile and Baldwin counties will receive calls in which they'll be asked a series of questions about their family's hurricane evacuation plans.

Don't hang up, state emergency officials urge: The data collected in the two-week effort will be crucial in planning future evacuations of the coastal counties, the state Emergency Management Agency said in a Thursday news release."
