The fourth annual Island Poetry Contest ended successfully with 162 participants.

The contest, sponsored by the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Public Libraries and their Friends organizations, was open to all students in kindergarten through 12th grades who are patrons of the Island libraries. Certificates and prizes were awarded to the authors of the winning entries."
