Insurers: Stronger buildings will improve coastal insurance marketplace | al.com: "MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Insurance industry officials renewed their calls for stronger building construction Tuesday, saying that reducing risk is one sure way to lower rates and increase the number of companies selling policies along the Gulf Coast.

The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, whose members write about a third of Alabama's homeowners policies, sponsored the forum.
