First-graders in Mrs. Edwards’ and Mrs. Smith’s classes have been busy counting dimes, nickels and pennies in math. In language, they are studying adjectives and types of sentences. In science, first- graders have been studying the weather. In Sea, Sand and Stars, they are watching plants grow and learning how seeds travel. First grade is looking forward to their field trip Friday to the Gulf Coast Zoo!"
