State plans docks on Intracoastal Waterway for enforcement fleet | al.com: "GULF SHORES, Ala. -- The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has applied for permits to renovate a closed boat basin on the Intracoastal Waterway in order to moor a small fleet of enforcement vessels.

The project is part of a larger effort to renovate the Claude Peteet Mariculture Center on Waterway Boulevard East. The Mariculture Center serves as a research and administrative facility for the department's Marine Resources division and is home to a large hatchery that produces red snapper, spotted sea trout and striped bass."
