State and county officials are moving along with the Foley Beach Express extension, which will eventually connect South Baldwin County with Interstates 10 and 65, but a portion of where part of the north-south corridor will go is still up in the air. Last year, another north-south corridor route near the Alabama-Florida state line was considered, but county officials believe building a four-lane highway closer to Robertsdale and Loxley is a smarter move."
