Geocaching draws more attention to state park - al.com

Geocaching draws more attention to state park - al.com: "The nationally recognized Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail offers visitors glimpses of local wildlife in their natural habitats and now includes a form of new-age treasure hunting — geocaching.

Members of the Orange Beach City Council and the Gulf State Park system, including Branyon, were at the trail Wednesday to post signs that displayed the site's newly acquired recognition from the Department of the Interior as a national recreation trail.

The Branyon Trail is the third site in Alabama to receive the honor, joining the Alabama Scenic River Trail and Pinhoti Trail in the exclusive group."
