Baldwin County lays off 205 more school employees - al.com: "BAY MINETTE — The construction coordinator and nursing supervisor were among 205 Baldwin County public school employees laid off Thursday night as the Board of Education seeks ways to balance the system's budget.
The board voted to release all classified employees who have been working less than three years and were still in their probation period. No teachers were included among the employees to be released, but the list of cuts includes Walter Ken Mason, construction coordinator, and Martha Holloway, nursing supervisor.
In addition to Holloway, 12 other nurses, out of a staff of 56, were on the termination list, which cuts the number of classified employees, now numbering about 1,800, by more than 11 percent, according to school system reports."
