Branson hires new director of planning and development | KY3 | Local: "BRANSON, Mo. – The city said Wednesday that Jim Lawson of Little Rock, Ark., will be the city’s new director of the Department of Planning and Development. He’ll start the job next Monday.

Branson City Administrator Dean Kruithof said Lawson has 34 years of city planning experience. He was planning director in Little Rock and Orange Beach, Ala., a city along the Gulf Coast. His last position with Orange Beach gave him planning experience in a resort community with a population of 5,300 but an average summer weekend population of more than 300,000."
