Summer comes to a close | pnj.com | Pensacola News Journal: "Nick Loizos doesn't put a lot of stock into reports that the economy is starting to recover.

Loizos, the general manager of Hemingway's Island Grill on Pensacola Beach, said the restaurant saw a decent amount business over Labor Day weekend, but he doesn't think it's because the economy is getting better.

Loizos said the beach has benefitted from the weak economy because people who live in nearby states are driving to Pensacola rather than flying to other destinations."
