New car company makes Ala. home - WSFA 12 News Montgomery, AL |: "MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Governor Bob Riley says another car company is about to call Alabama home. HK Motors will set up its first North American production plant in Baldwin County.

The announcement was the first of three major projects that are coming to Alabama. The other two will be revealed at some point within the week.

HK Motors, a Chinese company, will build hybrid automobiles and put thousands of Alabamians to work.

Riley said the project would create more than 5,000 new jobs.
