BALDWIN COURT DIGEST - al.com

BALDWIN COURT DIGEST - al.com: "BAY MINETTE — A Baldwin County jury found a Bon Secour man guilty Wednesday — and a judge sentenced him to life in prison — for the 2006 shaking of his infant daughter, who three years later suffers from brain injury and blindness, according to prosecutors.

Ralph Herbert, 39, was found guilty of second-degree domestic violence, a charge that usually carries two to 10 years imprisonment.

Due to Rammage's six prior criminal convictions, visiting Circuit Judge Braxton Kittrell, formerly on the Mobile County Circuit Court, enhanced the sentence to the maximum of life in prison."
