"Gulf Islands has a little bit of everything you're going to find in any national park: beaches, forest, salt marshes, bayous, historical structures, archaeological sites, nature trails, wildlife of all descriptions," she said of the 160 miles of islands, seashores and other areas dotting the Gulf Coast from Ship Island, Miss., to Okaloosa Island near Destin."
