Alabama's Gulf Coast offers summertime fun during autumn months

The No. 1 tourist destination in Alabama is the twin-city coastal region of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Locals say although the busiest time for beach-lovers is certainly the summer vacation months, the best time is certainly the fall of the year. The middle of September through November offers an "Indian Summer" temperature and ambiance with October probably the optimal time for the perfect combination of cooler climate, warm gulf waters and white sand beaches. And it is only an easy 7.5 hours away from Northwest Louisiana.
