SPORTS IN PARADISE: USSSA events are great for Baldwin County - Baldwin County NOW - A Gulf Coast Information Source for South Alabama: "The Park and Rec departments of both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are excited about an upcoming event, and rightfully so.

In back-to-back weeks, the USSSA World Series will call the Gulf Coast home.

Over 200 youth baseball teams, with players ages 9 -14 will face off in a tournament to be held at the sports complexes in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.

The teams that will travel to paradise to play will represent approximately 15 states, and 95 percent of the teams participating are out-of-state teams.

This event is the result of a year of hard work and planning, and will fill up condo’s and motel rooms all over South Baldwin County.

How great is that?
