Orange Beach to turn 25 - al.com: "ORANGE BEACH — As Baldwin County observes its bicentennial, this beach city — once a sleepy fishing village and now a booming resort with a skyline rivaling that of many Southeastern cities — has its own anniversary to celebrate in 2009.

Orange Beach, founded in 1984, turns 25 this year and city officials are finalizing the party.

The primary event is scheduled for Aug. 29, a Saturday, at the Municipal Complex on Ala. 161, city officials announced Wednesday."
