Police say Foley woman cheated Girl Scouts with bogus checks for cookies - al.com: "A Foley woman was arrested last week for trying to bilk a local Girl Scout troop out of $1,300 worth of cookies, according to police.
Carmen Bodenhamer Hermecz, 36, is accused of writing two bad checks totaling more than $1,000 with documents generated on her computer, Foley police said Wednesday. Police said Hermecz wrote the checks after the Girl Scout leader asked for payment after the invoice deadline had passed."
