The first annual Emerging Artists Exhibit kicks off with an Artists’ Reception Thursday June 11th 5:30-7:30 p.m. Each uniquely talented artist graduated this year with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. A variety of mediums will be on display including ceramics, painting and new media. The Friends of the Arts, Inc., a nonprofit organization that supports the Orange Beach Art Center, sponsors this highly anticipated event. The purpose of this exhibit is to draw attention to the works of chosen graduating artists and provide exposure, experience and encouragement.
The Artists are Springhill College’s Matt Carpenter; University of Mobile’s Laura Phillips; University of West Florida’s Daniel Gonzalez and Molly Bowen; University of South Alabama’s Skye Murrill and April Hopkins.
Currently on exhibit is Allison Puccetti Adams “Into the Light”. For anyone who has not viewed her fun and uplifting artwork you only have until June 10. Please remember that a percentage of her sales go to High Hopes Foundation whose Illuminating Autism Fun Raiser is June 6-8th at Pirates Cove.
