Jobless rate at 10.2% | pnj.com | Pensacola News Journal: "TALLAHASSEE — More than one in 10 of Florida's labor force were out of work in May, the highest unemployment rate in 34 years.

The state's unemployment rate for May rose to 10.2 percent, up half a percentage point from April and 4.4 points higher than the year before.

May's statistics were the first double-digit unemployment rate in Florida since the recession of 1974-75, according to Rebecca Rust, chief economist for the Agency for Workforce Innovation."
