Marina property picked for dog park - al.com: "ORANGE BEACH — With plans to build a municipal marina scuttled, city officials have decided to install a dog park on a portion of the 5 acres once slated to host charter fishing vessels.

A resolution has been drafted to set aside the northwest corner of the former Walker Marina property as a place dog owners can unleash their pets.

'That site, because we own it and because there's no activity there, is ideal,' City Administrator Ken Grimes said. 'We can always relocate the dog park somewhere.'"
