Offshore, inshore fishing about as good about as it gets from Gulf rigs and up into Mobile Bay - al.com: "Some big red snapper have hit the scales over the last week, including Tom Aldridge's 35.90-pound stud that now holds the top spot in the Orange Beach Red Snapper World Championship.

The Navarre, Fla., resident caught the fish 60 miles south of Orange Beach on Sunday while aboard the private boat Airborne. Airborne also leads the big-boat and small-boat categories because tickets in both had been purchased in its name.

The crew of the Airborne spent a bit more than the average person to fish in the tournament, but anyone willing to spend $10 for a daily ticket has a chance to win cash and/or prizes in 10 fish species."
