Arts facility planned in Gulf Shores - al.com: "GULF SHORES — Beach CITE Studios Inc., a nonprofit group, expects to begin construction of a 6,700-square-foot arts center this month on city property.

The organization struck a deal with city officials in February to lease for 99 years about 1cm HALF acres at the corner of West 19th Avenue and West Second Street for $1 a year. In exchange, Beach CITE Studios will build and operate the arts center at its own expense.

Plans for the building show spaces dedicated to dance and theater, music, visual arts, creative writing as well as an audio-visual studio. Blueprints also express plans to build three more stand-alone studios in the future."
