Orange Beach renews beach fee debate | al.com: "ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- City officials renewed their pitch Tuesday for an annual fee to pay for beach renourishment work, but cautioned that they still weren't certain how much they would charge property owners or even who they could assess.

'The last thing we want to do is be asking anyone for money in this economic environment,' Mayor Tony Kennon said during a public forum at the Canal Road Community Center. 'There's no ordinance in place, no plan in place, we're in information-gathering mode.'"
